Virar is a railway station on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Virar is a terminus station. It is around one and a half hours away by train from Churchgate, the first station on the Western Line. Virar is a very crowded area, among other adjacent stations like Vasai Road because it is a major tourist spot of Mumbai. It is the only railway station that connects Mumbai to other northern stations like Saphale, Palghar, Dahanu and distant southern cities of Gujarat like Vapi, Surat, etc. An outpost of Mumbai, Virar is connected with the mainland by electric train since 1925. ==Station layout== 5 of the 8 platforms at Virar are laid out side by side. Platform 6 & 7 are constructed a few meters north of platform 1 & handle the local trains until Dahanu Road. Platform no. 8 at Virar is constructed approximately 500 meters South of Platform 1 similar to platform 8 at Borivali. Platforms 1 - 3 handle the local trains in the up & down directions. Platform 4 & 5 handle outstation trains that have a halt at Virar. Platform 8 is a dedicated platform to handle local trains that start/terminate at Virar. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Virar railway station」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
